Measurement
Digital MRV
Digital MRV is measurement, reporting and verification built on data collected and stored automatically, from sensors, satellites, drones and geotagged field apps, rather than assembled by hand for each report. It aims to make a project checkable continuously instead of once per verification.
The value is in the record. Readings captured with a time, a place and a device, and kept unaltered, can be checked by anyone with access without re-collecting them.
It changes how evidence is gathered, not what counts as evidence. A sensor still has to be calibrated, and a satellite reading still has to be ground truthed.
