Four connected lines of work
BAASLAB is an India based climate solutions company. We restore degraded land, build green energy generation, and apply AI and IoT to measure what we grow and generate, funded by commercial offtake rather than by grants alone.
The four lines are not a diversification. They are the same operation seen from different angles. Land restoration produces biomass, which becomes energy. Energy plants need advisory to be built correctly, and the same specialists who assess a client site assess ours. Measurement verifies what the land and the plants actually did, and the systems built to do that are useful to anyone else with the same problem.

Himani Jain
Co-founder and Director
Trained as a biotechnologist, with a B.Tech and an M.Tech from Amity University, and spent her early career in academic and industry laboratories. She moved from there into biotech startups as Chief Business Officer, then into clean energy, first as a consultant and then running operations for a green energy company.
That path matters here for one specific reason. Restoration is a biological problem and generation is an engineering one, and BAASLAB does both on the same parcel. She has worked on each side of it.
At BAASLAB she runs operations across the integrated sites and the restoration work, including the part that decides whether any of it is believable: that what a site produced is measured and recorded rather than asserted.

A dentist by training, and practised clinically before moving into climate work full time.
The method carried over. Diagnose the actual problem rather than the presenting one, treat that, then measure whether the treatment worked. Applied to land and to plant, it is the same discipline.
At BAASLAB she runs delivery: that what was committed on a site is what actually happens on it, hectare by hectare, and that it holds up when somebody checks.
Our background
BAASLAB was founded by people who spent their careers building and delivering technology services, including a white label IT business that continues to operate separately under its own name. That history is relevant for two specific reasons rather than as biography.
The first is that this sector runs on measurement, and measurement is a software problem before it is an ecological one. Tracking survival across thousands of plants, reading satellite imagery over time, monitoring plant output against expected performance, all of it is data engineering, and we have done that work.
The second is that we have built a business that assembles specialists rather than employing all of them, which is exactly the structure the advisory bench needs.
We say this plainly because the alternative reads worse. A climate company that hides an IT past looks like it is hiding something. A climate company that explains why the past is useful is describing a capability.
What exists today
We are in our first year. There is early traction and there is a long way to go. This site describes a model we are building rather than an empire we have built, and where a page describes something not yet running, it says so on the page.
Where we have figures, they are published on the relevant project page with the date they were measured. Where a page describes capability rather than completed work, treat it as intent. We would rather lose an opportunity than win it on an impression we allowed you to form.
