Performance measurement

Actual output read against expected performance for observed conditions, with losses attributed to cause.

In short

By comparing actual output against what the conditions that actually occurred should have produced, rather than against the design estimate. That comparison separates a genuine fault from a cloudy week, and it is the only way to find gradual losses such as soiling, failed strings and tracker drift, none of which trigger an alarm.

What this includes

  • Sensor and inverter data collection
  • Expected generation modelling from observed weather
  • Performance ratio calculation and trending
  • Loss attribution to soiling, strings, trackers or faults
  • Alerting on divergence rather than on failure
  • Reporting suitable for lenders and offtakers
What you receiveOutput
Performance ratio reporting with losses attributed by cause
When you need itTiming
From day one of operation. Included in our scope rather than sold separately.
The common mistake

Measuring output without measuring expectation. A plant can lose a tenth of its generation for a year and look entirely normal on a generation chart.

How we staff this

Delivered by our own team together with vetted specialist partners and, where the question needs it, a named member of our expert bench. We tell you who is doing the work before the engagement starts.
