Compressed biogas

Gas upgrading and bottling

Carbon dioxide, sulphur and moisture removal, compression and bottling to fuel specification.

In short

Raw biogas is roughly half methane and half carbon dioxide with traces of hydrogen sulphide and moisture. Upgrading removes the carbon dioxide, sulphur and water to leave high purity methane, which is then compressed and bottled or fed into a pipeline as vehicle grade fuel.

What this includes

  • Upgrading technology selection
  • Hydrogen sulphide and moisture removal
  • Carbon dioxide separation
  • Compression and storage
  • Bottling or pipeline injection
  • Quality testing to fuel specification
What you receiveOutput
Plant producing gas to vehicle fuel specification, bottled or piped
When you need itTiming
Built with the digester where fuel grade output is the goal.
The common mistake

Neglecting hydrogen sulphide removal. It corrodes downstream equipment quickly and the repair bill exceeds the scrubber cost many times over.

How we staff this
